Sunset from the Bridge

Caught a sunset from Aurora Avenue Bridge on the 4th of July. I did not have my camera so after work on Tuesday, I walked over to catch a sunset again. The walk was good. The shaken beer poured into a water bottle, not so much. But at least I had a beer on the bridge. The music on my MP3 player has been listened to and now it is time to put some new music on my player.

I guess I got there a little late for the whole sunset.

2011 Saint Patrick’s Parade

Double Decker BusSeafair Pirates seem to have acquired a fire truck. I wonder how. The firefighters have a pretty big drum and pipe squad. The uniforms are great. Well matched with different color kilts for different parts of the band.

The parade started while I was eating lunch at Blue Water Taco Grill across from the library. I stayed inside and took some pictures. As I was going back inside the library I decided to take a short video of the parade.

I should have stayed a little longer and gotten the wolfhounds. I had forgotten about the dogs though.

Bandolier at the Sunset

I went to the Sunset Tavern in Ballard for a show on Thursday night. The sister of my friend was performing and I wanted to watch her sing.

The first band was pretty fun. They did a little group huddle jump before they took the stage. I was surprised to see someone using a French Horn on stage. It had been a while since I saw a French Horn.

This was the crowd for the last band of the night, American Girls. They are a Tom Petty Cover band. The crowd was pretty excited for this band. They are pretty good.

Even managed a pleasant conversation with a friend of my friend. She has intimidated me in the past but I finally got over that, I guess.
